Telehealth Family Medicine in California

Connect2-wellness is telehealth-first by design — making high-quality family medicine accessible to California residents in the East Bay, Sonoma County, and statewide without the commute, waiting rooms, or scheduling friction of in-person care. Our care team provides comprehensive, personalized primary care via secure video from wherever you are.

What Is Telehealth Primary Care

Telehealth primary care delivers the same services as an in-person primary care visit — assessment, diagnosis, care planning, prescriptions, lab orders, and referrals — through a secure HIPAA-compliant video platform. No in-person visit required.

For the vast majority of family medicine needs, telehealth provides equivalent quality. Connect2-wellness is built on this model because it removes access barriers for California residents — especially those in communities across the East Bay and Sonoma County where travel time or work schedules make in-person visits difficult.

Benefits

Why Telehealth Works for Family Medicine

Accessibility

No commute, no waiting room, no time off work. California-wide coverage means patients in the East Bay, Sonoma County, or any county can access the same care.

Clinical Quality

Our care team can assess symptoms, review labs, prescribe medications, order referrals, and build complete care plans during a telehealth visit — the same services as in-person primary care for most needs.

Privacy & Comfort

Discussing sensitive health topics — mental health, weight, chronic conditions — is often easier from home, in a private space, without a waiting room or commute creating stress before the appointment.

FAQ

Telehealth Questions

What technology do I need for a telehealth visit at Connect2-wellness?
You need a device with a camera and microphone — a smartphone, tablet, or laptop — and a stable internet connection. No special app or software download is needed. The secure video visit link is sent to you directly. Find a private, quiet location for the best experience.
Is telehealth care covered by insurance in California?
Many California insurance plans cover telehealth primary care at the same rates as in-person care, especially for established primary care relationships. Coverage varies by plan. Please contact Connect2-wellness through the patient portal to discuss your specific coverage and payment options before your first visit.
Can your team order labs and imaging via telehealth?
Yes. Our care team can order labs, imaging, and other diagnostic tests electronically during your telehealth visit. Results are reviewed at a follow-up visit or discussed securely through your patient portal. You can have blood work done at a lab near you — the order is sent directly to your preferred location in California.
Are there conditions telehealth cannot address?
Conditions requiring hands-on physical examination, emergency treatment, or diagnostic imaging performed in-office cannot be managed by telehealth alone. In those cases, our care team provides appropriate referrals to in-person providers in the East Bay, Sonoma County, or your area of California. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 immediately.
